This week, it was the turn of our Mansfield staff to volunteer their time at John Eastwood Hospice in Mansfield.
The hospice provides care for people in Mansfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Kirby in Ashfield and the surrounding village who have life-limiting conditions. Donations from generous locals allow the hospice to provide palliative care and support to those who need it most.
#TeamTallents were delighted to be able to tidy up the gardens and also carry out some much needed painting tasks to brighten up the corridors.

“Your volunteers have all been amazing. They’ve done so much hard work and have made a real, tangible difference to the environment here. We are incredibly grateful for their energy and dedication.
“It was also interesting to chat with them during the day about their perceptions of the hospice versus the reality of what we do. They admitted that they expected a clinical or sombre environment, so it was wonderful to see how positively impressed they were by the actual warmth, light, and positivity of the space. Breaking down those misconceptions is so valuable, and it was a pleasure hosting a group that was so open to learning about our work.
