Tallents Solicitors is delighted to have raised over £7,000 for charity this year after taking part in a will-writing campaign, making them the 2nd top fundraiser for Will Aid in the East Midlands.

The law firm took part in the annual Will Aid scheme which asks firms of solicitors to write wills for local people and instead, ask only for a voluntary donation.

This year, two members of staff raised an impressive £7,399 in the month-long fundraiser.

Taking into account the other four years that the firm has taken part in Will Aid, their total raised to date for the charity is an impressive £31,078.

Elizabeth Rees from the Southwell office said: “Our team has thoroughly enjoyed participating in Will Aid and have worked very hard to deliver top-quality Wills for our clients, while also raising money for Will Aid.

“We are very happy to donate our time towards Will Aid. It is a great way of generating a link with new clients. We would definitely recommend that other law firms get involved.”

John Coulthurst, Community Legacy Manager for the British Red Cross travelled to the Newark office to present the team with a certificate recognising their achievement. He said: “We at the British Red Cross are very grateful to Tallents Solicitors to taking part in Will Aid and to their clients for their generous contributions.”

The team at Tallents Solicitors wrote dozens of wills during November 2018, generously giving their time for free for the whole month.
