It’s wonderful that they want to make us part of their 250th year of anniversary celebrations through this book donation challenge!”
Emma Bell, solicitor at Tallents Solicitors said: “We really hope that the kind people of Newark and Southwell will bring their pre-loved children’s books into our offices and help us achieve our goal of gathering 250 children’s books.”
Tallents Solicitors is looking for looking for donations from the public of books in good or nearly new condition, which cater to all age groups, from those appropriate for nurseries through to teenagers. After the 250-book donation goal has been reached, the books will be given to the Newark Book Festival to give out to their chosen charities, nurseries and schools around the local community.
Donations of books can be dropped off at the Tallents Solicitors offices in Newark and Southwell between now and the end of the Newark Book Festival on 14 July.
Sara finished: “We are so pleased that we can be part of this extraordinary year of celebrations for Tallents Solicitors and are extremely thankful that the staff have chosen to help source so many books to give those who are in need in our community – this very much meets the ethos of many of our visiting guests, including Children’s Poet Laureate Joseph Coelho who has just been awarded an OBE.
