As part of our 250 Anniversary Celebrations, #TeamTallents yet again took up lawnmowers, spades, rakes, shears and even clippers to volunteer at the Newark Emmaus Trust.

The Trust needed help clearing the garden of one of their properties and our staff, led by Partner Andy Stout were totally up for the volunteering challenge.

Deputy CEO John Hudson said: “Following the team’s visit, I have taken around 30 bags of rubbish to the skips, which proves how hard everyone worked.

“We had a few surprises along the way, like finding a well that was not completely filled in which I went down and made safe, but all volunteers did a fantastic job pruning, weeding and digging. Although there’s still work to be done in the garden, it now looks so much better. Even the neighbours have been out to thank us.

“Please thank everyone who came along on the day and got involved. It was a great community effort by all at Tallents Solicitors.

“Many thanks for making a difference,” Deputy CEO, John Hudson
