The solicitors at Tallents volunteered their time and expertise during Will Aid month in November 2021, helping more than 100 clients have a valid will in place. In exchange, these happy clients make a donation to Will Aid, who then share the monies raised between nine partner charities.
Sarah Allen, partner and Head of Wills, Trusts & Probate department said: “It has been a difficult couple of years for everyone across the world but by participating in Will Aid, we are able to both help people in our local communities write a will, and support nine charities who are trying to make a massive difference in people’s lives during the global pandemic.
John Coulthurst, Community Legacy Manager from the British Red Cross presented the Private Client team from Tallents Solicitors with their Will Aid certificates noting their incredible fundraising achievements. He said: “Every day, charities like the British Red Cross are helping people around the world in desperate need. Initiatives like Will Aid are vital to help charities like ours continue to be there for those through the worst of times. We are incredibly grateful to Tallents Solicitors for their continuing support.”
Another of the charities the fundraising will help is Sightsavers and representative Olivia Harris, an Individual Giving Executive said: “The monies raised by the team at Tallents Solicitors is enough to help Sightsavers pay for 214 adult cataract surgeries, or provide antibiotics to protect 40,033 people from the agony of trachoma, a cruel and painful infection that eventually leads to blindness.
“I hope you and your firm are extremely proud of all you’ve helped to achieve through your participation in Will Aid, and again, we cannot thank you enough. You are the face of our organisation, and without you Will Aid would simply not be possible.”
Of all the legal firms who participated in Will Aid 2021, Tallents Solicitors was placed 13th in the United Kingdom and has raised an incredible total of £61,303 in fundraising donations for Will Aid since 2015!
